A pipeline toolkit tailored to Bayesian statisticians, the 'jagstargets' R package is leverages 'targets' and 'R2jags' to ease this burden. 'jagstargets' makes it super easy to set up scalable JAGS pipelines that automatically parallelize the computation and skip expensive steps when the results are already up to date. Minimal custom code is required, and there is no need to manually configure branching, so usage is much easier than 'targets' alone. For the underlying methodology, please refer to the documentation of 'targets' and 'JAGS' (Plummer 2003) . authors: - family-names: Landau given-names: William Michael email: will.landau.oss@gmail.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1878-3253 preferred-citation: type: article title: 'The jagstargets R package: a reproducible workflow framework for Bayesian data analysis with JAGS' authors: - family-names: Landau given-names: William Michael email: will.landau.oss@gmail.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1878-3253 journal: Journal of Open Source Software year: '2021' volume: '6' issue: '68' url: https://doi.org/10.21105/joss.03877 start: '3877' repository: https://ropensci.r-universe.dev repository-code: https://github.com/ropensci/jagstargets commit: dfaf57cc9cfc856a50ba79dd339977e7383d8a08 url: https://docs.ropensci.org/jagstargets/ contact: - family-names: Landau given-names: William Michael email: will.landau.oss@gmail.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1878-3253
